US Senate Candidate Daniel Gade Slams Virginia Democrat Bill to Defund Police by 25%

Richmond, VA – US Senate Candidate Daniel Gade slammed Delegate Lee Carter’s (D-50) recent bill that would defund Virginia State Police by 25 percent. The bill would slash $41Million dollars from local deputies and police for FY2021 and FY2022. Gade is calling on Senator Warner to condemn this knee-jerk attack against law enforcement.


Dr. Daniel Gade is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, professor, and public policy leader. During more than 25 years of military service, he was awarded the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, and two Purple Hearts. Daniel graduated from West Point in 1997. He currently resides in Alexandria with his wife of 21 years, Wendy, and their three children.
